Biology

In biology we currently learning about Blood. What it does and how it transports blood.
Blood is made of Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, Plasma, ans Platelets. The red blood cells transport oxygen from the lungs to the cells and mainly in the plasma it carries carbon dioxide from the body to the lungs. The white blood cells fight the germs which enter the body and the toxins which the germs produce. The plasma carries the digested food from the gut to the rest of the body, the waste substances from the liver to the kidneys, hormones from hormone glands to where they are needed and heat from the liver and muscles to the whole body so that the body temperature is all the same. The platelets create a blood clot in the places where there is a cut to prevent more loss of blood.
